Wayne played 20 seasons in the NHL while playing on 4 different teams such as the Edmonton Oilers, LA Kings, St. Louis Blues, and the New York Rangers. His career was 1979-1999. He is known for the greatest hockey player ever and is nick named "The great one." He's leading the NHL in goals and he has scored more assists than any other player who has scored total points. He is the only player in the NHL to total over 200 points. At his retirement, he held 61 NHL records and was immediately inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. His retired number is number 99. With the Oilers he led them to 4 Stanley Cup champions. he led the LA kings to a Stanley Cup also. He played well with the Blues but after that year he got traded to the New York Rangers. his first season he scored 51 goals and 86 assists. His finest year was in 1986 where he scored 52 goals and 163 assists. In 1980-1987, 1989 he won the MVP award. In 1981-1987, 1990-1991, 1994 he won the Art Ross Trophy as NHL's top scorer.
